Napa Valley Mustard Festival 2010

The mustard festival marketplace on the riverfront in downtown Napa on March 13th and 14th.
We were confused at admission pricing based on information from the official website. To clarify things, anyone can walk through the tents and booths, you can even purchase some food items directly through the vendors. However, purchasing wine and food tickets from the main booth is the way to go.
Interestingly every wine booth we went to, asked for one ticket for a pouring, which was pretty consistent with a 2oz pour. …

Cameo Cinema in Saint Helena

If your visiting the Napa Valley and want to catch a movie, try the cute and posh single screen theater in St Helena. While neither chef won the competition, they made it pretty far, beating out famous chefs from around the country.
As they won competitions they also won prize money for their charity. Both chefs were playing to raise money for Clinic Ole, and won a good deal of cash for …

4th of July Parade

The 2009 4th of July celebration in downtown Napa was a great success.
The festivities began with a respectable parade that included local groups, schools, fire engines, horses, gymnasts, karate students, military vehicles, old cars and more. The event was well planned, so that when the parade commenced, it was a short walk to memorial park. Here you could get some good food from one of a dozen vendors and listen to music. The days’ events continued till the grand finale of sparkling fireworks shot over the …
