A bike ride through Yountville

If you don’t have gear, pick it up at Napa Valley Bike Tours (6488 Washington St.) They have all types of bikes and any other gear you’ll neeed. Plus if you rent from them and you end up to far from base camp to return, they’ll pick you up for a small fee.

They also offer different guided tours. A favorite is the Wine and Dine Tour ($125) which includes four winery stops in about four miles. The “dining” is a gourmet lunch.

Yountville is a quaint small town (pop. 3,264). At the north end of town is Pioneer Cemetary. This is where George Yount is buried. Mr. Yount was the first Anglo settler in the valley and is the founder of Yountville.
